So once again it takes me fore ever to update, I won’t bore you with a long explanation. Anyways last time I checked, “One Summer” and Unexpected Love was tired in your vote so, I’ll update tomorrow as well, so everyone wins;) Thanks for your support Hope you; enjoy ;)
The drive into town was quite alright; I sat quietly in the front passenger seat of my mom’s car, eavesdropping on Josh and Jeremy catching up as if they were long lost friends. I found out that they shared a group of close friends, who Josh wanted to invite over soon. Honestly I don’t care, simply because I don’t care what people think about me, and I’m definitely not afraid to defend myself against a guy or girl.
“Wow isn’t this a little fancy just for breakfast?” I question, as my mom turned into the parking lot of an elegant looking café.
“Not at all, and beside they serve the world’s best chocolate chip pancakes.” My mom chippers. “OH! I could always remember how you and you father would make early Saturday morning, and the three of us would have breakfast in bed… Mom smiles reminiscence of our past.
“Mom really?” I asked embarrasses as I hear two light chuckles from the backseat.
“Okay, okay, I’m sorry.” Mom smiled heartily; pushing a few stray strands of hair from my face.
“Mom.” I whined annoyed at my mother who sometimes insists on treating me like a child, when people are around.
“Shall we then?” She suggests. Before I could unclamps my seatbelt, and open my door Josh was there. He smiles an offer’s a hand. I glance unwillingly to accept his hand, before hearing my mother clear her throat. I abruptly glance in her direction to see a stern look on her face. She nods as if telling me to accept Josh’s offer
Rolling my eyes I place my hand in Josh’s, and he gently pulls me from the car. “Thanks.” I mutter immediately pulling my hand away as I notice the smirk on his face as well as Jeremy’s.
“Table for four?” The tall brunette hostess ask politely, before flashing a flirting smile at Josh and flipping her hair over her shoulder, as if trying to intimidate me. I wanted to laugh in her face, because there was absolutely nothing going on between Josh and me, other than a little harmless flirting. However for a minute I actually did feel pang of jealously in my heart when Josh smiled in return.
Suddenly remembering what had taken place earlier between Josh and me, I decided to make it clear to him that he mine if I wanted him; by simply entwining are arms, and a sweet smile while motioning him forward. Josh glances down at me with a sly smirk, before leading the way to an available table.
“So Hayley how do you like it in California so far?” Jeremy asked obviously trying to make small talk with his new step sister.
“I’ve only been here for a day, and so far I wish I was home in New York!” I notice hurt flash across Josh’s face before he glances in the opposite direction of me to avoid my eyes. That made me feels a little guilty. Sure we didn’t get along at first, but it’s okay now.
“Really, you and Josh seem to be getting along well this morning.” Josh head snaps in the direction of my mother as the words left her mouth, as did mine, as I tried to clarify if she had just really said that. A normal mother would have freaked out, if she had caught her underage daughter making out half naked on a counter top with a guy she had only met the previous day. I guess I could say that my mom wasn’t normal at all and I’ve known that since I was born.
“Were just friends.” Josh smirks playfully then took a sip of his water. Why was he always smirking and smiling at me, nothing could be that amusing about my face. Could it?
“So you two aren’t dating?” Jeremy questioned with a confusing glance at my mother, who kelp a straight face. She was hiding something; I knew there was a catch to me being her.
“NOPE!” I answers popping the ‘P’.
Throughout the remainder of breakfast, more like brunch now, I began to learn more about both Jeremy and Josh, and found that we had quite a bit in common and planned to hang out later…
After breakfast my mom dropped Josh and I back off at home. Opening the door with my personal key I walked straight to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. Josh closed the door and followed after me some reason, but I didn't mind. He stood in front of the large window that overlooked the huge back yard, and our own personal beach.
“Look's awesome out, think I might go for a swim.” Josh smirks as always, as he peels his t-shirt off and tosses it onto the counter top.
“Have you ever heard the saying don’t swim on a full stomach?”
He shrugs “Suit yourself.” Josh’s quickly moves his hands to the button of his jeans where he then pulled them off like I wasn’t even in the room. My mind scream ‘Calvin Klein model as my hormones screamed I want a piece of that as soon as possible. “What?” He questions as I find myself have been staring at his perfectly sculptured body.
My phone rang saving me from the embarrassing excuse I was about to give. But damn why did it have to be Brendon. Not really caring at the moment I took it as my opportunity to escape without explaining. Excusing myself I made my way to the living room, even though all I wanted to do was stand there and stare at Josh perfectly masculine body without him questioning me.
“Hello I answer politely, pressing the speaker button and placing the phone on top of my knee after taking a seat on the couch and pulling then to my chest. Grabbing the remote and began to flip through the thousands of channels waiting for Brendon to state his reasons for calling me.
“Hey babe.” Brendon says sweetly, but defiantly unsure of himself.
“First off we are not together, and secondly I thought I made it clear that I wanted nothing to do with you anymore, so just say what you have to say or I’m hanging up on you ass.” I spat feeling the anger of his last words to me before I left New York.
“Can't a guy call his incredibly sexy girlfriend?” He says seriously as if he hadn’t understood my previous statement.
“Hayles babe who are you talking to?” Josh yelled knowing exactly who was on the other line of phone.
“What is it that you want Brendon, I'm kind of in the middle of something.” I lied, knowing that it would make every bone in his body Jealous, and that exactly what happened.
“I just wanted to say that I was sorry Hayley, and I wanted to know if we could try us again and make this work. Like you said you’ll be home in no time. So please just consider that, I know we can make. What do you say H-Bomb?”
“Goodbye Brendon, please don’t ever call my phone again. You had your chance, and you blew it.” I explained as Josh made his way over and took a seat next to me; shaking his head in amusement.
“You know what Hayley, fuck you! I loved you, and know you go off and cheat on me with some fucking random piece of a shit guy.” Brendon exclaims aloud probably guessing he was on speaker phone. “I always knew you were a whore. I hope that guy breaks you heart, because you’ll never find another guy like me.” He finishes. I glanced over at Josh he looks like he wanted to say something, but instead we bother burst into a fit of laughter. I mean how dare Brendon try and make me out to be the bad guy?
Once Josh and I calmed down Josh took my phone off my knee. “Listen you piece of scum and you listen closely. If you ever call my girlfriend again, we’re going to have a major problem.” Josh explains then ends the call without giving Brendon a chance to respond.
“Girlfriend?” I questioned taking my phone from his hand.
“Yeah, So?” He beams down at me.
“Uhmmm… I’m not your girlfriend.”
“Says who?” Josh smirks pushing himself off the couch. “I’m going for a swim you coming?” Josh strides into the kitchen and out to the pool without another word. What did he mean says who? I said so…………
So is Hayley and Josh dating or Not? What do you think?
