~Secret Love ~{Ch.28}
So two more chapters and it over, I’ve enjoyed writing such a weird story, but it’s about time to put it out of its misery. I want to give special thanks to: +revolution*star+, woweverythingschanged, Parmorelover, and youaretheonly for sticking around, you four truly are amazing.

“Maddy sweetie it time to wake up.” I whisper to my daughter.
“No daddy.” She whined, turning away from me.
“Maddy honey you have to wake up, so you can go to school.” With those words Madalin quickly rolled over, her big brown eyes popped open, as a smile appeared on her face. For the past few months Madalin had been excited to get to school and I had no idea why, but all I knew is that she was happy again, which made me happy as well.
Also several months had passed since the day Heather and I went in search of Hayley; seven to be exact and we had spoken once since that day, she told me she never wanted to see me ever again. I know I didn’t deserve her, but I thought she could at least be a part Madalin’s life.
After diving Madalin to school, I headed to the place I most dreaded to go; to work. Everyone knew what I had done, and quickly judged me, me without hearing my side of the story, though my side of the story wasn’t much different from what everyone in the office had heard.
Pushing the clear glass door open I enter the lobby of, my company, everything seem to be running smoothly as if nothing had happened over the past few months; I at least had to give Zac that.
“Oh! Mr.Farro.” The receptionists, calls my name just as I was about to enter the elevator.
“Yes?” I responded walking closer to her desk.
“There are police officers in the conference room, they said they said it was urgent that they speak with you, I hope its ok that I sent them up already.” She says.
“Yes, that’s fine.” I nod, trying to hide my sudden nervousness. What could possibly be wrong now? Getting off the elevator I spot my bother Nate, and my father talking with Zac outside the conference room.
“What’s going on?” I questioned.
“Can we do this in the conference room?” Nate asked. I nod following him and my father into the room; were two other officers awaited.
“I know that’s what’s been going on, has been pretty intense, and what I’m about to tell you isn’t going to make things much easier.” Nate started. “Canadian police arrested Jenna, yesterday with the guys who we think has been helper her.” I nod for him to continue. “It’s Alex, Josh”. I placed my face in my hand signing deeply. How could one of my best friend’s do such a thing? That’s when it hit me; I was the one that had been blinded all this time.
Last year at Alex’s birthday party, I caught Alex and Jenna in the bathroom together; Jenna swore that she was only helping Alex because he felt sick from drinking so much. Then Alex insisted that dance with the girl that saved him from destroying his own party. At the time I thought nothing of it because Jenna was a nurse and it’s her job to take care of people; but come to think of it, Alex had just got out of rehab for his drinking addiction, and he wasn’t even drunk that night… I couldn’t believe my wife was having an affair with my best friend. The baby tried to pin on me was his.
“Joshua” My father’s voice breaks my trance of thought. I glance up at him. “Jenna’s parents don’t know about any of this, me being you lawyer I suggest you gain full custody of Madalin.” My father pushes a stack of paper’s, and a pen in front of me. I grabbed the papers off the table, before simply standing and walking out of the room. I tossed the papers on my desk, before taking a seat. I stared at the papers for almost an hour. Maybe Madalin was better off without me…

(Hayley)
I stared at myself in the mirror wonder how this could be remotely possible. I hadn’t been in a relationship in seven months, no one had touched me. It was like a miracle, and angel replacing the angel I had lost.
“You know you have to tell him, right.” Sarah says from behind. I frowned pulling my t-shirt back down over my swollen belly.
“I don’t have to tell him anything, it’s not like it’s his, and it’s a miracle baby.” I whisper the last few words.
“Yes Hayley he is a miracle, but you didn’t get pregnant from magic. Beside it had to be his, you haven’t been with anyone else since you two spit.” Sarah says.
I signed placing my hand on my still growing belly, I couldn’t believe I was pregnant, seven months ago, I thought I was sick from eating some bad takeout, two months later I found out that I was pregnant. Sarah and Heather both had been supportive of the idea of having the baby, though Sarah thought that I should Josh tell Josh, where Heather though I shouldn’t because he didn’t deserve to know. Me myself I really didn’t know what to think, so I went with the easiest way; avoiding him, be telling him I never wanted to see him ever again.
“I’m not stupid, Sarah I know it’s his baby.”
“Then why want you tell him?”
“I don’t want to talk about this, and besides I have to go.” I grabbed my purse and keys.
“You’ll see his daughter, but you won’t see him. What’s happen when she lets it slip that you’ve been having lunch with her.” Sarah asked following me to the door. I ignored her comment and continued out the door. Sarah was right though, I knew Madalin wouldn’t keep it a secret for long that I’ve had lunch with her every day for the past six months at her school with her.
I parked my car in the nearest parking lot to the door. Struggling to get out of the car with my growing condition making it harder move around. I quietly open the door to Madalin’s class room; peaking my head inside, before entering; the children were working on some type of art project, so I took a seat in one of the small children’s chair near the door.
“Ok children, time to clean up” Mrs. Davis says. Kathryn and I weren’t friends, though she agreed to let me have lunch with Madalin, because it seemed to be the only thing that made her happy. She also promised not to tell Josh; unless he asked.
“Mommy Madalin squeals, dropping her canyons on the floor before running over to me, and hugging me.
“Hi sweetie.” I hug her as best as I could.
“Mommy when are you coming home?” Madalin ask as we sat enjoying are lunch.
“I don’t know Hun.” I say truthfully…

How could I be so stupid to think that my daughter would be better off without me? I’m her father after all, I’m not perfect but who is? I grabbed the pen from my desk and began to sign the papers; there was no way in hell that Jenna’s parents were going to take my daughter.
For my lunch break I decided to personally deliver the paper to my father, then find Hayley and demand she at least speak with me, or just to listen to what I have to say.
I knocked on the door hope that she would answer; I wasn’t so lucky. “What are you doing here? Heather snared.
“I need to speak with Hayley.”
“She want doesn’t see you anymore, can’t you get the hint.” Heather spat slamming the door in face. I knocked on the door again, not wanting to give up so easily. “Go away Josh.” Heather yelled from the other side of the door. I knew I would get nowhere with Heather in way of me seeing Hayley.
Just as I began to walk away, the door opened. “She’s not here Josh.” Sarah says with a sympatric frown.
“Do you know where she’s at?”
“No.”
“Do you know when she’ll be back?” I tried again.
“No.” Ok nod sadly, and began to walk away again. “Look I promised Hayley I wouldn’t tell you, and I’m not; but you need to see her as soon as possible.”
“If something’s wrong, Please tell me. I beg of you.”
“It’s nothing bad, if you’d see her you’d know.” Sarah says reentering her apartment and closing the door.
I spent the last few minutes of my lunch break driving around the local area, hoping to see Hayley’s car, but had no luck, so I headed back to the office.
I knocked on the door of Zac’s office, after no response I entered, finding the office empty. “Are you looking for Zac?” Taylor asked.
“”Yeah, have you seen him.”
“Break room.” Taylor says pushing the door to break room open. I followed after him, finding him Jeremy, and Jack from All time low having lunch.
“Time to go back to work, the boss is here.” Zac says jokingly.
“No guys its ok. I want to apologize to all of you for not being here, and for being such an ass to all of you, mostly you Zac, thanks for taking care of your company.” I say handing him my master key, before walking out of the room.
“Josh what are you doing?” Zac asked storming into my office as I continued to pack my things.
“I’m leaving.”
“Dude you can’t just leave, because of some girl dumped you.”
“You don’t get it Zac, this isn’t about some girl. I hate my job, I hate coming to this place; telling people there not good enough to follow their dreams, just because I don’t like their music.
“So what now?” Zac questioned.
“I want you to run this place. I’m gonna go and find Hayley, and most importantly take care of my daughter.” I shoved the last of my things into the box.
“You know I never hated you, or Hayley, I was jealous.” Zac stops me. “I just got sick of being the second best. “You had everything, the wife, the child, the job, and I have nothing. When everyone found out about your affair with Hayley, I thought it was my time to be the perfect son for once.”
“Zac mom and dad love you, just as much as they love me, Nate, Jon and Izzy, and besides you have Sam, you to love each other, marriage and children will come when the time is right. Just don’t rush yourself like I did.”
“Thanks bro.” Zac holds out his hand for a handshake. I sat the box I held on the floor, before pulling him into a hug.
“Good luck Zac.” I smiled walking away…

(Later that Evening)
“So how was school today?” I asked Madalin as I began to prepare dinner.
“I drew a picture, and wrote my name and…” Madalin said with so such excitement.
“Wow slow down princess.” I said as she began to dramatically move around in her seat, explaing how she enjoyed her day.
“Daddy when is mommy coming home?” Madalin suddenly asked; her mood had turned a whole 180.
“I don’t know sweetie.” I say not knowing if she meant, Jenna or Hayley.
“That’s what mommy said.” Madalin pouted and continued to draw her picture. At that moment I knew exactly who she meant. Jenna was hiding out in Canada, there’s no way Madalin meant Jenna, but wait, when had Madalin seen Hayley?
“When did mommy say that?” I asked curiously.
She glanced up at me, before back down at her drawing. “I’m not supposed to tell.” She mutters.
“It’s ok sweetie you can tell me.” I placed the spoon down, and taking the seat next to her. “When did you see mommy?”
“Promise not to tell mommy, she held out her little pinky.”
“I promise.” I wrapped pinky finger around her tiny one.
“At school.” She finally says….
“Mommy was at your school?” I asked to make sure.
“Yes.”
“Was anyone else there with her?”
“My class silly, and Aunty Kat, and my little brother.” Those last words completely caught me off guard. Children tend to have a bit of an imagination; so I decided to pushed the subject a little farther.
“Maddy sweet heart you don’t have a little brother.”
“Yes I do; he’s in mommy’s belly.” She smiled. I glace down at the picture she was drawing. It was like the one’s she always drew a stick family that represented her family, however this time the stick person with red hear had a circle around the stomach area.
Hayley’s pregnant….
